Land for the proposed facilities has been secured and all permits for their construction and grid-connection are already in place, the company said on Friday. The BESS capacity will be installed in Denmark's DK2 electricity zone, representing the country's eastern region, and will be connected to the Nordic grid.
With construction works scheduled to begin late this year, the facilities are expected to be commissioned in the first half of 2026. Copenhagen Energy has been developing the projects since the start of 2024.
