The facility is currently the largest module factory in the Middle East. Saudi electric company Bin Omairah Holding has commissioned a 1.2 GW solar module assembly factory located in the industrial district of Tabuk, the capital city of the Tabuk Region in northwestern Saudi Arabia.
The total cost of the project is estimated at about 1.2 billion Saudi riyals, and it was developed by establishing a project company, the Sakaka Solar Energy Company, through an alliance that includes ACWA Power with a 70% stake, and Algihaz Holding Company with a 30% stake.
